Allow me to introduce you to Nancy of The Informed Makeup Maven. Nancy is a lovely blogger that I had the pleasure of meeting last year at a blogging event  and I instantly felt a friendly connection. Nancy doesn’t know this but I love, envy  and adore her accent. It’s so authentic and sweet.  I also loved Nancy’s blog, where she discussed makeup, life and everything in between.  Nancy recently landed her dream job (Congratulations, I’m super excited for her) and has closed her blog down.  But just because she has left the blogging world (temporarily I hope),  doesn’t mean her love for music has changed.

Do you listen to music while applying makeup?
Yeap, I sure do.  I love to spin Kylie, Franz Ferdinand, La Roux, Hercules and Love Affair and New Order when I get ready.  The fast beats and fat basslines get me going and pumped for the day.

What your favorite type of music?
Brit Pop and Electronica.

What’s one song you could listen to everyday without growing tired?
“Auf Auchse” by Franz Ferdinand – I love the mood of the song, progressions, riffs and lyrics – “You see her, you can’t touch her, you hear her, you can’t hold her.”

Who’s your musical muse(s)?
Madonna – I grew up with her music videos, controversies and dance know-how. I’m so chuffed she was named after my ma.
