The What’s Your Theme Song? Series is all about getting a “behind the scenes” look into the music that some of the brightest and influential bloggers are listening to. Alright, first up is a dear friend of mine, Kia of Yummy411. We have known each other for over 10 years and our love for makeup truly makes us makeup sisters. (lol) Kia is an amazing makeup artist and a wealth of knowledge. She is the reason Silver Lips Beauty exists. We use to talked for hours and hours about all things beauty until one day she said” Nikkia, you should write about it” and at that moment the blog was born.

What’s your current theme song?
Toni Braxton’s “Lookin’ at Me” or Amerie’s “Heard ‘Em All remix ft. Lil’ Wayne” makes me want to put on some stacked stilettos and ‘pose for the camera, now click, click, click!’

“You’re the Only One” by Eric Benet.  I keep my player on shuffle.

Do you listen to music while applying makeup?
I would love to, but I’m usually rushing when doing my makeup.

What’s your favorite type of music?
My favorite genres of music would be r&b and gospel, but I’m a lover of all types and like to play whatever fits my mood.

What’s one song you could listen to everyday without growing tired?
That’s a hard question!  I think it might be “Encourage Yourself” by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers.  the message is one that I need to hear constantly.

Who’s your musical muse?
I have to pick one? Well I like to watch Estelle and Solange evolve.  Watching their age, styles and creativity morph and see it expressed through music is interesting.  Kelly Price can sang! We haven’t seen enough of her.
