Smell This: CLEAN Cotton T-Shirt & Summer Escape Eau de Parfum
I’m not your typical fragrance girl. I hardly ever, and I mean ever indulge in perfume of any kind. I can actually count on my hand the fragrances that I have actually liked or better yet that didn’t cause my allergies to go up in an uproar and have my head spinning out of control. So, when I read about Clean’s two new fragrances CLEAN Cotton T-Shirt & Summer Escape, they both peeked my interest. You see I typically wear body splashes and oils because, they are lighter in scent (no headaches at all most times) and quite honestly they are a lot cheaper. But there is something about smelling like freshly laundered clothing , my boyfriend and the beach that makes me smile a huge smile.
Cotton T-Shirt, is described as a fresh and airy scent that captures the appeal of the iconic wardrobe essential. There are notes of Cotton Flower and Dewy Freesia that evokes freshness and simplicity and there are also traces of Rosewood, Warm Musk and Sheer Amber that add that familiar warmth that captures the smell of my boyfriend’s tees. I know this smell from somewhere. I’m not sure if it’s the combo of my boyfriends deodorant and the liquid soap detergent we use or if its the body lotion he uses but, this scent is so familiar to me. And it truly makes me feel like he is around all the time when I wear it. It also doesn’t help that I really like men’s cologne, most don’t irritate my allergies and smell so manly and good. lol
Clean Cotton T-Shirt retails for $69 60 ml/2.14 Fl.Oz. and $38 30 ml/1. fL Oz.
Summer Escape, is described as a scent that envelops the body in layers of crisp, citrusy notes that transport you the beach in an instant. The stand out key notes of Summer Escape for me are Beach Grass, Mandarin Orange (Top notes), Orange Flower ( Middle Note) and Coconut Water (bottom note). Almost reminds me of a smoothie. Now those aren’t the only notes of Summer Escape just the ones that intrigued me. Now honesty is the best policy right? This scent though it smells light and great does very slightly irritate my allergies. I’m not sure but, I think it’s just this time of year for me ,(my allergies are going hay wire right now) or it’s the Water Lily that’s combined in. Me and lilies don’t really get along
Which ever it is, this scent does remind me of the beach and spring. I’m going to hold off using this and try to re-use it again after my spring allergy session ends (which usually ends in late May) and see if my nose will tolerate this scent, because it is light and yummy.
Summer Escape retails for $49 for 60 ml
Both of these CLEAN fragrances area available at Sephora, Ulta and www.cleanperfume.com
