NYX The Curve Liquid Eyeliner: Review, Swatches & Photos
NYX The Curve Liquid Eyeliner ($15.00) is a new innovative, ergonomic shaped liquid eyeliner that provides an angled/curved grip for precise, secure, mistake-proof eye lining.
Did it live up to it’s claims?
You all know me well enough to know that, I suck (big time) at lining my eyes. No matter the formula or tools, lining my eyes is like the worst chore anyone could ever ask me to do. I just can’t seem to get the hang of making a straight line. But you all also know that, I’m a sucker for buying eye lining products. Well say hello to NYX’s The Curve Liquid Eyeliner. This new, fun and funky looking tool is geared toward making lining the eyes easy and effortless. Shaped like a toy pistol, this liner makes finding the perfect position to apply liner easier. I don’t know about anyone else but, I stand or sit with the liner pencil or brush in my hand twisting and turning trying to find the right angle to apply liners. And usually I end up giving up after messing up the line because I don’t have a steady hand. That has changed for me with this new liner. No longer am I trying to find the right position. With the way this liner is made, the position is already done for me.
The liquid liner itself is very pigmented and jet black. It has a nice wear time (about 8 hours) and goes on smoothly because of the slightly stiff but, flexible felt tip. You can make very thin o super thick lines with this liner. My only problem is that I still don’t make a straight line. It has nothing to do with the liner as, it does guide my hand but, its me and my blind eyes. I wouldn’t say this liner is difficult to work with but, I also wouldn’t say its super easy either. It will take at least 3 tries to really get the hang of using it.
Overall, I really like this liner. The color payoff and wear time is great. I just need better eyes to see with. lol This liner will be perfect for those who want a compact, no brains approach to lining. But for a beginner this may be a hint tricky to finagle. I will say give it a try but, be sure to keep your receipt. I’m not going to be returning mine but, same may find this tool pointless.

I saw this on their website and wondered how it worked. Looked a bit akward to me and wasn’t sure of the results. Not sure if I’m sold on it yet…

Treya,
It is a very cool tool but, is a bit awkward to use. Let me know if you decide to get it. I would love to hear your review.

Looks like a gun to me. Not sure if I’m skilled enough to wield it. But the lines you’ve drawn look delightfully thin, Nikkia. I think I might just try it for curiosity’s sake.

I’m curious to try this since I’m a bit clumsy when it comes to liquid liner. I am better at it then I used to be though.
