Maybelline @ L.A.M.B. : New York Fashion Week S/S 2011

What I love most about Maybelline being apart of this season’s New York Fashion Week is the fact that the products used are readily available to me at my local drugstore. LA.M.B’s look created by Maybelline makeup artist Charlotte Willer . The inspiration behind this look was “Tribal Punk”. According to Charlotte Willer, she aimed to create a fun take on the traditional cat eye by extending the lower lash line and using bold colors to amp up the drama.

Here are the products used and key tips on how to recreate the L.A.M.B look:

Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation: this newly released lightweight foundation was used to even out the skin’s canvas

Eye Studio “Give me Gold” Silk Eye Shadow Quad: The bright-yellow gold shadow  was blended all over the entire lid. The copper shadow was applied to crease area and extended to the outer eye for a cat eye effect. The white gold shadow as then applied to the inner corners of the eyes, on the outer brow area and as a cheekbone highlighter.

Line Express Eyeliner : in “Ebony Black” was applied in a sharp extended line on the lower lash line to add drama and dimension to the tribal look

Volum’ Express the Flasies Washable Mascara: was applied to the upper and bottom  lashes

And lastly Shine Sensational ” Tempting Toffee” Lip Gloss was added to lips to create plush and glossy pouts. Select models wore “Red Revival” Shine Sensational Lip Gloss
