MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2 Lipstick: Review, Swatches, Photos

Well, it looks like Lady Gaga and President Obama aren’t the only people giving the chance to charm us twice. MAC revealed awhile ago that Nicki Minaj would be the face for MAC’s Viva Glam campaign again, and no one opposed. The Vivia Glam campaign gives 100% of the proceeds to women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. But you already know that, right?

Viva Glam Nicki 2 ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a pastel lavender pink with an amplified finish. This lipstick has a nice opaqueness. It applies smoothly to the lips and like most amplified finishes has a slight sheen.  This lipstick wore for about 3 hours before reapplication was needed.

While I think this is a beautiful color, it isn’t that flattering worn alone on my NC50 skin-tone. As a matter of fact, I have found that most people who own this lipstick find that it is very unflattering worn alone. I strongly suggest rocking this lipstick with a liner. My suggestions would be MAC’s nightmoth, Vino, Current, Plum or Grape (disco’d), just to name a few.
