MAC To The Beach Collection: Review, Swatches, Photos
Wow, I’m soo late posting this! But, On May 27th, MAC launched the highly anticipated ”To The Beach” Collection. And as always, I rushed out to my local MAC counter to indulge. This collection is composed of many products that will help to achieve the beach look or better yet that glow from within look. From the packaging to the carefully picked colors and textures, there is something in this collection for everyone to love. I originally had a small wish list but that quickly grew once I had a chance to play around with the products.
Here’s what I picked up. To see a complete listing of the MAC To The Beach Collection click here
Splashing lip glass, is described as a mid-tone blue pink with soft gold pearl, This to me is the gloss version of Viva Glam Lady Gaga, on me at least.
Thrills lipstick, is described as rosy copper with gold pearl. This is great shade for neutral looks.
Temperature Rising, is a bright loudmouth orange lipliner. I personally will not be wearing this a a liner but as a base for other shades to add a little pop.
Now I wasn’t overly excited with the eye shadows from this collection. Sweet & Punchy looks so much like Rated R and Eyepopping eyeshadows that I passed on it. And I already own Shimmermoss and Humid.
Firecracker eyeshadow interested me, it is described as frosted mid-tone red-orange. Very pretty applied over coral crepe
Float on By , is a dark green turquoise, is perfect for adding a pop to your summer looks
Rosemary & Thyme, is a medium olive gold with shimmer, I seriously don’t now how I missed this liner in the permanent line. It is gorgeous as a base and on the waterline.
You know you are a makeup collector, when you by a product thinking it’s new only to get home and see you already have it, just in different packaging. That’s exactly what happened to me. I purchased Lustre Drops in “Sun Rush” which is described as a peachy bronze with gold pearl. I love this product. For summer I like to mix a few drops in my tinted moisturizer to add a little shine to my face. But I have barely put a dent in my “Style Warrior” version. So I may be giving this one away soon!
Cream Bronzer “Weekend” is deep orange-brown with soft pink pearl. I love the texture of this. It starts out as a cream but dries down to a powder. Perfect for that sun kissed look.
In The Buff, is a tricky one to describe it light taupe with a hint of avocado green. It is a pretty color but, not sure how this one is going to look on my fingers. I’ll let you know.
So what did you think of this collection? What did you pick up?

I love firecracker, weekend bronzer & thrills… I have all of those. I never purchased any of MAC’s polishes. IDK why.
I have similar drops but mine are from inglot. You can sell the new ones you got instead of giving them away.
great purchases though

Thanks! I saw the Inglot drops when I was in the New York store and didn’t play around with them. How do you like them? And try a Mac polish out! They aren’t OPI or Essie but if i had to compare them i would say they are close to china glaze in texture!
