MAC Pret-a-Papier Collection: Review, Swatches, Photos
Pret-a-Papier, released on April 22, is a collection of warm wearable shades. Looking at the advertisements , I instantly thought subtle creamy beige neutrals with a splash of coral. I honestly think this collection would be perfect for the fall season but, that’s just my opinion. This collection is comprised of several repromotes, permanents and limited editions. Some may think this collection is passable but there were a few stand outs.
Here’s what I picked up. To see a complete listing of the MAC Pret-a-Papier Collection click here
Stand Out #1. Coral Crepe paint pot, is described as a satin soft coral. I have to say I am a huge paint pot fan. This one is unlike any of the others and looks great on all skintones.
Instant Chic blush, is described as a (Sheertone)mid-tone muted coral. Orignally I thought this wasn’t going to show up on my NC50 tone but it does give my cheeks that soft glow look.
Gazette Grey eyeshadow, is a dark green-grey with gold pearl. This eyeshadow is a little tricky one. It shows up kinda sheer and has to be packed on. I suggest using a base for this one because without a base this eyeshadow will require loads of re-applying.
Stand Out #2. Chromagraphic Pencil (NW25/NC30) think concealer pencil. I currently use this pencil as a brow and under eye highlight. I have also tried using this as a water liner but found that it moved a tad too much for me.
Kraft lipstick (Amplified) – Creamy mid-tone warm brown
Fold & Tuck lipglass- Mid-tone bright coral with soft pearl
Dressmaker, Dressmaker (Lustre) – Creamy light peach coral, this lipstick looks fabulous with Mouth Off Lipliner which was released with the “Too Fabulous” collection
Stand Out #3. Brown Bag - Mid-tone warm dirty beige , this polish is the perfect mannequin hand polish for ladies nc50 and darker.

Originality (Frost) - Sparkly copper bronze, this polish is a gorgeous color great for summer and requires at least 2 coats to look its best
Overall, I really enjoyed this collection. My only disappointment was the packaging. I wanted it to look like the advertisements, all paper like and stuff. Minor but important to me.
Have you checked out the Pret-A-Papier collection? If so what did you pick up
