MAC Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Lipstick: Review, Photos, Comparisons
News broke weeks ago that Nicki Minaj and MAC Cosmetics were teaming up to create, a limited edition lipstick to celebrate the release of her debut album “Pink Friday”. The catch to this collaboration was that it would/will only be available for four Friday’s starting November 26th and ending on Friday December 17th. You all already know that I’m a sucker for hype so, it is no surprise that on Thanksgiving night at 11:30 pm. I was online buying the lipstick.
Well the lipsticks have been delivered and I wanted to share some swatches and do a few comparison swatches with you all. Pink Friday, is described as a creamy bright pink with a satin finish. The word around the blogisphere was that “Pink Friday”, is the love child of MAC’s Pink Nouveau and Snob lipsticks. And in my opinion that’s a pretty fair assessment. And because I ran out of Pink Nouveau ages ago. I thought why not replace it with this new lippie. Now after wearing and playing around with this lipstick, i’m not overly excited anymore. Not because I don’t like the lipstick but, its pretty ordinary when you think of the other MAC pinks. It is a nice bold pink and on my NC50 will require a lip liner, which is what I was trying to avoid.

im skipping. i always prefer lippies that i have the option of wearing alone even if i dont. i think i would have gotten it if it were a hot pink shade even if i couldnt wear it alone. didnt like the paleness of it.

Not skipping! I picked it up & love it! It doesn’t compare to any of the others! If you want a really nice pink lipstick, this is the one! Its a limited item, and I had to purchase it online and definitely worth the $50. Love it!!!!!!!!!

I’m skipping this altogether since I can never pull off these types of pinks. No matter how hard I try, I always end up looking like a washed out zombie. Thanks for the swatches and comparison. Great post!

I’m skipping too. Especially because it looks like just an opaque version of the Gaga lippie. Seems like MAC should’ve sat down with Nicki just a bit longer

Thanks for the swatch comparisons … Im glad to see the difference with Pink Friday & all my other FAV pinks!!! I am DEF going to wear it with a liner, do you have any you would suggest? I wish the tube would have been a little more “Nikki Minaj’ish” … or just had a different look to it … Maybe it should have been PINK!!!

Lady Gaga and Cyndi had a nice tube, this one is just a boring MAC one lol. I’ll see if I can purchase one on Friday although I know I’ll have to work with it a little to get it to work (why do all that trouble eh? lol). Oh well. Great review and comparison pics. Love it! Thanks!

Skipping it only b/c whenever I check the website, it’s sold out. Then I ask myself “why are you so hyped about it? Don’t get sucked in!” lol. So, I’m leaving it alone.
