MAC Middle Eastern “Mehr & Yash Lipsticks: Review, Swatches, Photos
MAC Cosmetics recently added four new and permanent lipstick shades to its expansive color range/collection. MAC lipsticks retail for $15.00 for 0.10 oz.of product. The four new lipsticks are: Yash Deep neutral (Matte), Mehr Dirty blue pink (Matte), Double Shot full-bodied mocha cream (Amplified), and Tabla chocolate-brown (Amplified). Yash & Mehr lipsticks are both re-promotes from the Spring 2011, Mickey Contractor collection.
Yash has been on my radar since it launched last year. I had it on my list to purchase but, it was sold-out online and at my location MAC stores and I now know why. This color is described as a deep neutral. It has a matte finish. This color leans peach but, isn’t to cool or warm toned. It’s truly a neutral nude that will look great on most skin tones. For some this color will require a lip liner. This lipstick is very opaque and comfortable to wear. It wore for about 6 hours on me. And I hate to say this but, this color may be taking my beloved “Siss” lipstick place as my favorite nude lipstick ever. Definitely a must have if you love nude lips.
Mehr is described as a dirty blue pink. I picked this color up with the Mickey Contractor collection last year. It has a matte finish. This color applies evenly and opaque. This color on me wore for about 6 hours. This blue based lipstick makes wearing pink on darker skin tones possible. This color will look great on most skin tones and will require a lip liner on some. If you have a deeper, darker complexion and you are looking for the almost perfect neutral pink. I say give this color a try.
All of the middle Eastern lipsticks are available now online and will be hitting free-standing stores/counters on September 13, 2012.

Thanks so much for sharing your swatches. Would you consider both of these lipsticks to be neutral? I’m looking for something that doesn’t lean warm or cool, but when I hear blue I always think cool-toned.
