MAC Give Me Liberty of London Review,Swatches,Photos

Mac Cosmetics has teamed up with “Liberty of London”! Who is Liberty of London? Liberty of London is a 134-year-old department store on Regent Street in Central London, England, in the West End shopping district. The store is named after, Arthur Lasenby Liberty, who in 1875 opened the store to sell clothing, housewares and furniture.  Liberty of London, is best known for its prints and mini-floral patterns on clothes, home decor and furniture.

Fast foward 100 plus years and Liberty of London is still a luxury accessories brand which draws on Liberty’s heritage.  Though they were not widely available to the western world. Liberty of London’s cool and modern patterns are soon to be popping up every where. They are set to launch a collection of clothes, home decor /housewares and furniture at Target on March 14th.

Ok now back to the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection.

Here is a run down of what I picked up from the collection:  All swatches applied on NC50 skin

Liberty of London Lipstick/Lipglass ($14.00) The lipsticks and lip glasses in this collection honestly speaking are very dupable. They are super pigmented and creamy but, again dupable. I picked up peachstock to have an alternate to my favorite nude lipstick (siss). If you missed out on “Lavendar Whip” I strongly recommend you pick up “Blooming Lovely” as it is an exact match in my opinion.

Liberty Of London Powder Blush ($18.50) The blushes in this collection are nothing really to call home about. Dirty Plum is a pro color so, though it is housed  in the cool packaging you can get it at anytime. Prim & Proper is a matte neutral coral color. If you like the light flush look on the cheek, then this is the blush for you. I would also recommend this to blush newbies.

Liberty of  London Eye Shadow ($14.50) Ok, again dupable. The only color out of the five that stood out to me was “Bough Grey” it’s color is unlike any other I’ve seen Mac offer. Originally I thought it reminded me of scene eyeshadow but, I quickly noticed the hint of blue in it.  Birds & Berries reminds me of  Strike A Pose but, this one has a little more blue/teal color. All the other shadows you either already have or they are again dupable.

Liberty of London Nail Lacquer ($12.00) Blue India, is described as a dark green with pearl. However, I think there is a hint of grey in there somewhere  The formula for both nail lacquers are cream. It’s opaque and only takes about two coats to get desired  consistency.

Overall, this collection is cute but, so not mandatory. The shiny white packaging and pretty bright patterns are gorgeous. If your a collector like me, your going to find a few things you just gotta have. icon smile MAC Give Me Liberty of London Review,Swatches,Photos

I looked at the collection yesterday, and you are right everything seems to be dupable. The packaging is what got me though. I did good though I only got three things. Ever Hip lipstick, Birds & Berries eyeshadow, and Dirty plum only because the mua told me to step out of my confort zone with blushes. Thanks for the review.

Hey Cosmeticqt, yes you did good only three things? I had three items I wanted originally and then when i got there that changed lol. You are right I didn’t think of it but Fresh Brew does look like Peachstock. Darn it! to return or keep? that is the question

I checked out this collection yesterday and I was that impressed. Birds & Berries eyeshadow reminds me a lot a Plummage eyeshadow, but with less shimmer

Milan you have to get “Blue India” nail polish it is such a beautiful blue and Peachstock is a hot color if you don’t have myth or fleshpot.
