MAC Cham-Pale, Stylishly Yours, & Peacocky Collections: Review, Swatches, Photos

Wow!! This post is like super duper over due. I have been slacking big time on my posting especially MAC collection posts because, I really haven’t been impressed enough to do any major damage. I’m also gearing myself up for the Wonder Woman collection which will be available on February 10th. Yay! Anywhoodle,  in the last two months, MAC has release about 5 or 6 collections and I purchased a couple things from the ones listed in the title and decided since I didn’t buy much I would combine my reviews, photos and swatches.

Here’s what I picked up. To see a complete list of available products head over to www.maccosmetics.com.

Cham-Pale was released on December 26th . This collection did nothing for me. It was suppose to be the a collection that toasted the new year with bubbly shimmers and neutrals but, it went flat for me. I orginally had my eyes on the dangerous cuvee paint pot but after seeing swatches. I was totally turned off by the shimmer/glitter in them. The lipsticks and powders were dupeable and I found that I had a couple of the lipsticks in my collection already.  I did pick up “Chillin on Ice” paint pot. It’s described as a frosted white gold color. Now I know I said I didn’t like the shimmery glitter in these paint pots but, this one makes a very nice/light highlighter for your cheeks. A dear friend of mine hipped me to that idea and I ran with it and love it.

Stylishly Yours was released on December 26th. And well though this collection was small and full of over the top bright & colorful products. I was left feeling empty. From this collection I picked up “Madly Magenta” cream color base, only because I was advised that it was a nice dupe for “Peacock and Petals” which was limited edition and released with the Liberty Of London collection last year. Madly Magenta, is described as vivid pink purple and it is just that.  I really like this product but, beware it stains. The insert advises that it is not safe for the eyes but, this one stained my finger pretty good as well as my lips. So beware!

Peacocky was released on January 6th. This collection includes 12 new Kissable Lipcolours and 15 new Mega Metal Eyeshadows. Now this collection peeked my interest a little. I’m a sucker for newly formulated products.  Kissable Lipcolour combines elastomer technology that imparts a velvety, aerated feel without sacrificing shine. Mega Metal Shadow gleams like chrome, with light-reflecting properties – yet creamy, crease-resistant, vitamin-fortified flexibility.

Kissable Lipcolours are suppose to be the best of both worlds. The feel of lipstick with the look and texture of lip gloss. These are sheer to medium coverage and super light-weight on the lips. They are also said to be long-wearing but, I found that the color lasted long but the glossy finish didn’t. Honestly these to me are nothing more the MAC’s version of OCC lip tars.

So Vain is described as a muted dirty coral. This color is very streaky on me. So much so that I wanted to return it.Not just because it was streaky but because it looked horrible on my skin-tone. That is until I tried wearing it with beet and burgundy lipliners.

Woo Me is described as a light pinky nude. This color is pretty opaque and creamy. It has a slight shimmer that is almost unnoticeable. I found this color to be great worn alone or with liner. But It applies a bit splotchy icon sad MAC Cham Pale, Stylishly Yours, & Peacocky Collections: Review, Swatches, Photos

Mega Metal Shadows are long wearing crease proof matallic shadows. They are creamy and silky. I love that these have that metallic finish as it really sets them apart because not only are they silky smooth they are super blendable and intense in color. Wet or dry.  Its also nice that they are bigger than the regular sized shadows.

Paparazz-She is described as a deep copper bronze. This color is unlike any I have ever seen. It is bold bright and simply gorgeous.I thought this was a amber lights dupe but I was totally incorrect. It’s as if amber lights and Brash (from the Cult of Cherry collection) looked at the sun and produced Paparzz-She. Because this shadow is so vibrant and bold.

Unflappable is described as a frost black with purple pearl. I personally think there is a hint of gray taupiness in this color as well. This to me is such a gorgeous alternative to Carbon. It’s dark but the purple makes it so easy to wear. Sometimes blacks can be very harsh.

Whew! Alright i’m done!

What did you pick  up from these collections? What are your favorites/hated items?
