MAC 193 Angled Foundation Brush: Review, Photos

MAC 193 Angled Foundation Brush was launched to the permanent collection alongside the new Match Master Foundation on September 22, 2011. Retailing for $32.00 this small precision brush works well at reaching those hard to reach places like around the nose and eye areas. This brush is densely packed and has of course and angled tip.

OK, I’m always honest with you guys and this post is no different. I originally bought this brush because I thought it was limited edition and it’s not. Oh well, I try my best to collect the limited edition brushes. With that being said, even though I purchased it I had doubts of just how well it was going to apply product. The size was my hang-up. It’s super small and my face isn’t.

Just like the 190 brush this brush is synthetic. It’s stiff but not hard or overly firm. When applying foundation with this brush I did notice some streaking as I laid product on larger areas such as my cheeks and forehead. While applying foundation under my eyes and around my nose this brush worked nicely.  So for those persons who do full coverage all over makeup this brush may not be for you. As the size and time it takes to apply evenly will frustrate you. But if you’re like me and you apply foundation sparingly to the center of the face and then blend outward for a light to medium coverage you may find this brush helpful.

Overall, this is a nice brush but, it is not a must have especially, with every other makeup company now offering cheaper angled foundation brushes. If you like collecting MAC brushes like myself I say buy it. Other than that I say pass on it.
