Lanvin for H&M Lipstick: Review, Swatches, Photos
I know what your thinking, Lanvin for H&M overkill but, as promised. I wanted to share my review and swatches with you all. Before I jump into reviewing these lipsticks, I have to share a little something with you about why I love blogging. As you know I along with ShanaJanelle stood in line from 2:15am until the doors opened at 8:00am and while in line I met and talked with some amazing ladies. The day/night prior to the stakeout I tweeted it up with fabulous bloggers , Bag Ladies, ElevarBeauty, and Sapphire Blu, we discussed our plans for getting in line early and also what we wanted to purchase. Be sure to check out there sites for posts about Lanvin for H&M. It was a true pleasure meeting them in person. Also while in line we chatted with other friendly ladies who had a few must haves as well. Two of them were in fact bloggers, Bianca, who currently has a blog titled “DC Little Black Blog“ and the other sunshine had a great way with bargins, she had recently acquired a true Lanvin coat for 41.00 from a consignment shop. Her blog was titled “The Closet Full Of Someday Clothes” but, I couldn’t find it online to link to it! The last ray of sunshine actually worked and helped set up the H&M presentation she was resourceful, and so sweet.
Well I tell you all this to say these ladies really did look out for me, they knew that my only true goal in this venture was to really get the lipsticks and when we hit the door and began to grab and select , they asked if I had gotten what I came for. Isn’t that amazing? They didn’t have to care about me or direct me to where the lipsticks were located but, they did and that really made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Also I had picked up what I thought was the burgundy lipstick only to get to the register and the box was empty. Shana so kindly gave me hers, like isn’t that the sweetest thing. Thanks Shana
I’m going to move into the review now but, I just had to share a huge thank you to these ladies for being so kind to me.
Alright, lets dig into these four “I must-have-been-crazy-to-sit-outside-half-the-night” lipsticks. Of course you know they were selected by Lanvin for the collection. They come in four shades : Red, Rose, Hot Pink & Burgundy, which just so happens to be the name of each lipstick. I was looking for something a little more creative name wise but, hey when all else fails keep it simple. Right? These pretty little plastic tubes cost $9.95 each and personally feel and look a bit like drugstore style lipsticks as far as the packaging goes. I again was expecting a little more but, Lanvin is known for designing clothes and not lipstick or tubes for that matter. On to the quality, all four lipsticks are super creamy and highly pigmented. They all are suitable for every skin-tones. The finish of each lipstick is a cross between cream-sheen and an amplified cream. These lipsticks have a nice vanilla cake batter smell. And are not drying, they actually are very moistuirzing, which was a suprise since these weren’t the highlight of this collection.Tagged with: Lanvin for H&M, lip products, lipstick
