Lanvin for H&M Experience & Haul

This morning at 2:15am @ShanaJanelle and I braved the cold weather and stood (well sat, we had cute chairs) in line outside of H&M, to get our hands on some of the highly sought after products from the Lanvin for H&M collection. As I told you here , I wasn’t to intrigued with the clothing as I knew nothing would be plus size friendly but, I was excited about was the 4 lipsticks being launched. Well after looking at the whole collection online my list of “wanted” products began to grow. No longer did I just want the lipsticks, I  also wanted a pair of the unisex sunglasses, pink men’s oxford shoes and the coral necklace.

Shana and I composed a plan. We already knew that H&M had a nicely organized plan for the collection. The first 320 people would be given 16 different color bands, that would coordinate with the 20 minutes each color would have to shop and purchase goods of their choice. H&M stated that each person could only purchase and pick up two of each items available. Can I say BIG FAT FAIL! The plan was I would get our lipsticks and accessories while Shana would look at dresses and shoes. Well let me tell you the plan didn’t go according to H&M’s standards or ours. Here’s why, we landed in at number 32 in line which meant we were team #2 and color yellow. Our time slot was slated for 8:20-8:40 and we knew because we were second up we would get to look around, grab and go. Well the security guards and managers on duty didn’t even follow there own printed regulations. Not only were different color bands jumping the lines they were also pushing, shoving and hoarding all the dresses and shoes.  It was a total chaotic mess. And what angered me even more was the fact that the entire collection wasn’t available in the store. WTH!!

Well, I will say that out of the 7 things on my “wanted” list. I snagged 5 items. Here’s what I picked up and a few shots of the displays, etc. A full review of the lipsticks with swatches will be up shortly.
