Glimmer Body Art Glitter Tattoo Kit Review & Photos

While at the LA & NYC Makeup Show, I saw many ladies adorned with these cool glitter tattoos. Originally I thought wow, aren’t we a little to old to still be getting hand painted pictures on our bodies but, slowly that thought went away as I checked out the “Glimmer Body Art Tattoo” booth. Glimmer Body Art Tattoo is the new aged thing to have. The young and old loves these glitter tattoos.  And of course yours truly had to indulge in the experience to see what the true hype was all about.

Now you all know my blog is titled “Silver Lips Beauty”.  I saw what seemed like hundreds of stencils that were fun, playful and sparkly. But when I saw a set of lips as a stencil I squealed and reach for that one with no questions.

The process to apply these glittery treats was pretty simple.
Step #1. Clean desired area with alcohol.
Step # 2. Lay stencil down and press.
Step# 3. Apply body glue.
Step #4. Remove stencil and wait for it to get a bit tacky.
Step #5. Dip brush in glitter and cover glue
Step #6. Brush off excess glitter  
And Tada your done!

While at the show I picked up the princess kit and it came with everything needed to tattoo girls young and old. The kit includes: 12 stencils, 4 glitters in assorted colors , 3 brushes (to apply and remove glitter) and 1 bottle of body glue.

Now according to the sales associate, the glitter tattoos last for up to 7 days but, on me it only lasted two solid days and after that it washed off.  There was no sticky residue left and the glue didn’t give me an allergeric reaction. Also the stencils can be re-used if being applied to self but, if being applied to others they need to be thrown away after a single use for sanitary reasons. These tattoos would be perfect to do at parties or to just add an extra little something, something to a night look without the fuss or bulk of jewlrey, etc.
