Essie 2011 Winter Collection: Bling It On! Review, Swatches, Photos
Essie’s newest collection is all about Cocktail Bling! During the holiday everyone likes to dress up with jewelry in gorgeous tones and Essie has made adding color and glamour special with this collection.
This collection was inspired by precious stones and metals. You know the ones we bring out for the holiday and cocktail parties. The six luminous shades included in the collection are perfect for complimenting rings, bangles, pendants or brooches.
Colors with description:
School of Hard Rocks is described as a midnight Malachite. This color applied nicely with two coats and in simpler terms is a deep teal.
Cocktail Bling is described as a precious pale gray jewel. This nail polish is absolutely gorgeous. It’s a pale grey with hint of periwinkle mixed in.
Size Matter is described is a blazing hot ruby-red. This is the perfect grown-up red for the holiday or anytime of the year.
Bangle Jangle is described as lavender amethyst. This color is soft and perfect for adding color to the nail without it being to over the top.
Not Shown
Bobbing for Baubles is described as deepest darkest Sapphire. This color is super interesting and dark. To some it will look black but it is a very dark and sultry blue.
Brooch The Subject is described as a creamy cashmere cameo. And I have to agree. This color is stunning and great for a neutral nail great for work or play.
All of the nail polishes in this collection are thick (not overly thick but thicker than normal which is great) and super creamy. They all applied wonderful without streaking and two coats did the trick on my nails. Essie’s “Bling It On” collection is currently available now in salons, mass market stores and online.
Essie is a 3 free company. Their products do not contain formaldehyde, DBP or Toluene.
Here is a picture of my past NOTD wearing Bobbing for Baubles. Such a gorgeous color.
Have you checked out this collection? Cocktail rings will thank you.
