Essie 2011 Summer Collection: Color Me Braziliant
Summer 2011 is all about sexy, bright and bold colors. And Essie has channeled the tropical colors and vibe of Brazil to influence its summer collection. This six piece collection is made up of bold juicy oranges, hot flower-like pinks and calming blues and greens.
The colors in this collection are as follows:
Braziliant, is a rich bold orange. Their is a slight shimmer in this polish not sure if it’s white or silver. But either way its pretty and applied nicely with two coats.
Too Too Hot, is a fire coral. This color isn’t the most unique but, it’s a very pretty deep reddish looking coral. On some skin-tones this will look more red than coral.
Super Bossa Nova, This polish is a super pigmented deep blue-based pink magenta color. There is a coordinating pearl/shimmer in this polish. This color applied nicely and will look great against all skin-tones.
Meet Me At Sunset, This color looks better on the nail than in the bottle. This color is orange-red and has a nice creamy finish.
Absolutley Shore, is a ultra light sea foam green. I like this color but it applied a hint blotchy. It required three coats to look opauge. None the less, it’s a pretty summer color and a great alternative for those who like white polishes
Smooth Sailing, is a gorgeous blue topaz color with flecks of purple and light blue shimmer. Out of the bunch this one was my fave because it had the extra pop I personally like in a polish.
These Essie’s polishes are nicely pigmented and applies evenly except for “Absolutely shore which requires a little extra work. None of the polishes were overly thick or watery thin. I suggest using a good top coat, to main the shine and brilliance of these polishes. These polishes retail for $8.00 each.
