e.l.f. Essential Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick: Review, Swatches, Photos
October 25, 2012 in Bargin/Drugstore Goodies, Makeup, Product Reviews by Silver Lips 3 comments
e.l.f. Essential Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick ($2.00 for 0.11oz/3g) are described as creamy and richly pigmented Jumbo Eyeshadow Sticks that create natural or smoky eyeshadow looks. Infused with nourishing Vitamin E to condition the delicate eye area. The twist up component and smooth glide formula is easy to use for on-the-go beauty. These eyeshadow sticks are available in 10 shades.
These Jumbo Eyeshadow sticks are similar in look to NYX, MUFE, Urban Decay and countless other brands. And because of that I decided to try out two of these jumbo sticks.
Little Miss Thing is a soft gold with slight shimmer. This jumbo stick is nicely pigmented and applies evening to the lid. I strongly suggest an eye primer as this only wore for about 2 hours without one. When layered under an eyeshadow this wore for about 6 hours before I began to see some fading.
Feeling Lucky is a creamy deep burgundy that has this hint of coppery brown mixed in. This color is well pigmented and applies evenly onto the lid. This shade lasted about 3 hours without a base but, I strongly suggest an eye primer. When layered under an eyeshadow this jumbo stick lasted for about 6 or nine hours.
Overall, I think these are OK alternatives to the higher end versions. The colors offered are versatile and can be worn alone or under coordinating eye shadows. They have a decent lasting power but, again I strongly (no, wait it’s mandatory) suggest using an eye primer. Also I have to mention the smell of these. They smell horrible, like stinky plastic mixed with gasoline. The smell doesn’t last long but, it must be noted. These and the other 8 available shades are online now at www.eyeslipsface.com . I haven’t seen these in any of my local Target’s yet but, hopefully they will make their way there soon.
Have you tried these jumbo eyeshadow sticks yet?

Haven’t tried eyeshadow sticks before, but they sound like a great alternative to my powders. Will have to give them a try.
