COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation: Review, Swatches, Photos

When you think of cucumber water,  jojoba and rose-hips extracts, do you instantly think these would be ingredients in a drugstore foundation? Not, I but, these are exactly what’s included in COVERGIRL’s newest product, NatureLuxe Silk Foundation. This new foundation is available in 14 shades from light to dark and amongst the 14 shades there is a pretty decent color range. Retailing for approximately 11.99 for 1 fluid ounce, this lightweight, silky foundation is light and airy and feels more like tinted moisturizer than a sheer to light/medium coverage foundation.  As a person that loves tinted moisturizer, I think this is an awesome alternative. My skin looked very natural. And when I wanted extra coverage on problem areas applying more foundation didn’t create a caked on or pasty look.

I picked shade 365 Chestnut and it blended seamlessly into my skin.  There were no harsh lines, no pasty feeling and over all I looked polished. This foundation in my opinion is the perfect no-makeup makeup foundation. It doesn’t have a matte or dewy finish. The finish is just silky and natural if that makes sense. Some days I applied powder to set this foundation and on others I didn’t use a powder at all. With a powder I had a bit more coverage but the results were still natural. When I went without a powder, I notice that the wear time for the foundation was lessened. At either rate I looked natural and had a healthy glow for at least 5 hours.

Overall, I really like this foundation and more importantly I like that this can be found in my local mass market drugstore. If you’re looking for an everyday foundation that is going look natural and polished. I say give this a go because, I was truly impressed.
