COVERGIRL Intense Shadow Blast: Review, Swatches, Photos

COVERGIRL Blast collection has become a drugstore phenomenon. I know for me and many others we adore the mascaras, smokeyshadow blast duos and the liquiline blast eyeliners. Well say hello to the newest member of the Blast collection, Intense shadow blasts. Available in 6 wearable shades these cream eyeshadows are waterproof with a built-in primer. That guarantees to last all day without smearing or creasing. Retailing for about $7.99 each. These creamy shadows work great as an eyeshadow base or worn alone for a simple and polished look.

The available colors are as follows:

805 Platinum Pop, is a silver shimmer with the pop of a sky blue. This color leans more blue or silver depending on how much you layer on & which color you want to play up more.
800 Beige Blaze, soft metallic creamy tan color. This shadow blast would work great as a primer for soft neutral looks.
825 Blue Bomb, in the tube this color looks like are deep medium blue color. But on my skin it pops more like a soft blue but vibrant blue color.
815 Brown Bling, is an interesting co . lorIt’s a brown taupe with a hint of silver mixed in . This is another color that would work well as a based for a neutral look.
820 Extreme Green, is a soft chartreuse color that has just the right amount of shimmer included.
810 Forever Pink, is a very soft baby pink that on my skin-tone doesn’t really look pink but more so silver on me. I think the shimmer in this one takes away from the true color pink.

The longevity on these intense shadow blast are amazing. I wore the swatches above all day (more like 7 hours). I even showered and washed my hands several times and they didn’t budge at all. I also liked the fact that these apply like a cream but dry to a nice smooth powder finish. Now personally,  I may not wear these alone unless, I was really in a rush and wanted a nice very soft wash color. But using these as a powder eyeshadow primer/base is more up my alley. When applied under a eyeshadow they help to make colors pop and crease-resistant.  I personally think that these are a want not a complete need. But I will say that, if you love the smokey eyeshadow blast duos, these are a must have because, on me the smokeyshadow blasts crease like crazy and when paired with the intense shadow blast there was no creasing  at all.
