China Glaze Metal Crackle Collection: Review, Swatches, Photos

Snap! Crackle & Pop!

Crackle has become the hottest nail trend i’ve seen in a while. And China Glaze has just step the game up with their new sparkling metallic crackle nail polishes. If you’ve seen any of my last couple of “Nail That” posts, you know that I like to add a little crackle to my ring fingers for a little pop. I’m not a huge fan of having each of my fingers adorned with the crackle flair but, that is changing especially with these new metallic crackle polishes. The formula for these polishes can be nice and light or bold and dramtic depending on how you coat your nails. You can use a lighter coat to create a fine crackle or a thicker coat for a deep shatter effect.

The China Glaze Crackle Glaze Metals collection features six sparkling metallic colors including:

  • Oxidized Aqua: Deep aquamarine blue

  • Haute Metal: Pale pink
  • Platinum Pieces: Shimmering silver
  • Cracked Medallion: Bold bronze
  • Latticed Lilac: Soft lavender

The swatches were all applied heavy as they, in my opinion, look better applied thickly. The only two that needed extra attention were Haute Metal and Platinum Pieces. They had to be applied thickly to really have it show up . My favorites out of the 6 available are : Tarnished Gold and Oxidized Aqua.

China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde.

These new metallic crackle polishes are available through salons and professional beauty supply stores nationwide. For more information, visit: www.chinaglaze.com
