Benefit They’re Real! Mascara: Review, Photos
The number of amazing mascara’s coming out these days are astonishing. It seems like the mascara God’s have heard our cry for mascaras that not only coated our lashes but, make them look fuller and more volumized. I shared with you guys my love for Lancome’s newest Doll Lash mascara.Well say hello to Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara. I haven’t used a lot of Benefit’s products. As I felt the skin products didn’t really cater to my skin tone. However, I do have my eyes on the Cha-Chs Tint, but hey that’s another post.
Since I’m a mascara fanatic and I like trying out new mascaras especially since it’s the beauty product with the shortest self life (3 months) I decided to give this mascara a try. I’ve read loads of reviews and wanted to know if the raves were true.
The claims state that, They’re Real! Mascara is a jet-black mascara that lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates lashes for a spectacular “out-to-here” look. Now I’ve seen this claim time and time again and I’m usually disappointed that one of the listed claims are not true. Sadly that’s the same thing for this mascara. Don’t get me wrong this mascara is amazing but, I didn’t see instant volume. Yes, it lifted , lengthened and even curled my lashes but, I want volume and volume didn’t show up for me. Wanna know something funny. I’m starting to think it’s me. Maybe I’m not applying enough of the mascara on or maybe I don’t have the volumize technique down pact. Even though I didn’t feel like this mascara made me look like I had on falsies. What I do love most about this mascara is the wand. This mascara features an exclusive staggered bristle brush that was specially designed to maximize the performance of the super black, long-wearing, glossy formula. The custom-domed spiked tip lifts, defines, and curls even your tiniest lashes and that to me is the winner about this mascara. It’s like having two wands in one.
They’re Real! Mascara retails for $22.00 and is a great buy. The wand alone makes this mascara awesome. I wish they made disposable wands like this one. The formula isn’t too stiff or runny. I like to load at least three coats of mascara on and when doing that with this mascara. I found there were no clumps and even if one did form the wand helped to get rid of it. I would highly suggest this mascara if you’re in the market for a new one.
Benefit They’re Real! is available at Ulta, Sephora and Benefit.com
